(More customer reviews)I bought this computer as an early Christmas gift for my daughter. Aside from a few cosmetic flaws the computer worked fine for about 2 months. It now overheats, the fan constantly runs and it totally shuts down every 20 minutes. I first wrote a decent review on this product but I spoke too soon. I contacted the seller about the problems and their reply was that nothing could be done since it was outside the 30 day warranty. Ok, my bad. 30 days? This item is a piece of junk. You would do better to go to the big box store and get something much nicer and reliable for the same price!! I currently own a computer purchased at a big box store for approximately the same price and IT STILL WORKS AFTER 6 YEARS!!! So the way I figure it is that I rented this computer for about $100 a month. It's just an expensive paperweight now. Trust me, don't fall for the favorable reviews or the "helpful" customer service. This merchant is a rip off and sells defective products. I realize that I took a chance buying something refurbished with a 30 day warranty, but the computer was still a little pricey. Stay far away from this merchant and their products. I learned the hard way. They got their money. My daughter has a useless machine. Don't make the same mistake I did. Save yourself money and aggravation and get something reliable. Look elsewhere.
